The Port Noarlunga Reef is a protected marine zone. When the tide is low you can walk or snorkel around the reef

No matter what the weather, the beach is always wonderful

The old Pt Noarlunga Jetty (built 1855) was 30m south of the current jetty. It had a tram line and was used to transport trade goods (wheat/flour/barley/wool) to Pt Adelaide.

The current jetty was built for recreational purposes. It was once connected to the reef, but the end was destroyed in a storm in 1987.

There are several walking trails through the nearby sand dunes. Keep your eye and ear out for interesting coastal birds.

Everyone can enjoy exploring the dunes

Walk 10 minutes south of McCloud House and you will find the tranquil mouth to the Onkaparinga River.
